This is like folk art. He's still working on it since he's not up to 50 stars yet. A work in progress. Love the iconography of the flag. Love the setting too. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

I saw a lot of american's flags hanging in front of windows while my trip in USA... I think US peoples are proud to be americans.
It's not the same with majority of french peoples. ;-)
Best regards from Paris,

Pierre

No I should never paint by barn in red, white and blue and I have never seen that here ever. I think Europe has other ideas about patriotism. We have seen to much about that in the past.
About the weather, we are back at rain and clouds again. Temperatures are about 19C so we had a great summer of one whole week!

Either it's a work in progress or this person has decided some states aren't worth keeping in the union. Perhaps it's one of those "red state-blue state" things.

I adore this shot, very lovely... :)

Still puzzles me why they have such an extreme 'wish' to be so obviously proud. :D

I'm with biebkriebels here, pride can go the wrong way sometimes & we Europeans have seen enough of it.

i was thinking along the same lines as kay as to why they are missing...

Flags on barns are remarkably common in America. They make for eye-catching sights.

It is funny, as a German I think that Dutch already display their orange or flag very often (like when they finish school). For me it is really weird to see flags, I only associate them with war...

We are seeing more and more flags being flown here in Australia, which is scarey enough. Heaven forbid that we start to paint walls with a flag.
