Kay is very smart. She will come up with the name. Until she arrives, let's call them the violet six-pointed flowers.
I vote for Campanula, or bellflower. Not because I know it off the top of my head but that I happened to open to the right page of my go-to gardening book.

I think this is a balloon flower -- I have one in my garden and it's small (only 1 - 2 flowers) but it looks just like your photo. :)
