Gas king

we always goto the same gas station... whereas most stations currently ask well over 3 dollars (but.. per gallon, not per liter; 1 gallon is 3.8 liters), this one is still a little below 3. it took a few months before we discovered that at most gas stations the listed price is what you pay when paying cash... when paying with card its 3-5 cents per gallon more expensive! however, at this station you can only pay cash, and you have to pay beforehand... i think its weird they all prefer cash; isnt that more dangerous, to have so much money?
ah, they really are the cheapest around boston! (boston gas prices)

this pic reminds me of a book you bought a while ago (and now it's collecting dust). it had a bunch of photo's of lonely places, deserted stuff.. you said you wanted to take pictures like that.. and now you have.

That is weird about the cash, mostly it is otherwise. I am sure they have a big gun under the cash-deck. The photo is very nice, it looks lonely indeed, but has the right atmosphere. Take a look in the book again (when your Tim has dusted it first).

thanks!!
(yes, maybe there is a gun...)
as for the book; tim found those pictures very boring so from him its not a compliment that my pic resembles this photographer's pics. but still it is to me, since i liked the photos a lot!
this is the book: approaching nowhere from Jeff Brouw; he photographed deserted american landscapes. some pics are rather sad as for example abandoned superstores, logos on highways...etc.
