Title of this post is funny. It made me think it would be about post-doc positions or something. "The most powerful position is a post-doc position." I'm not a post-doc yet but somehow I feel that this statement may be as absurd as the one on the sign. ;-)

ah, and cedric, ha, at least someone thought what i hoped he/she would think. something related to my work.. :D ah no, a postdoc does not have a powerful position at all. but... at least you are taken a little more serious than a phdstudent, after all, you are now supposed to be an expert in whatever you did your PhD on. does that make you powerful... ehmmm, not so much. insecure? sometimes...
ah well, i guess i leave that to sylvia to ponder upon...
