Best shot...

or should i say... not the worst shot...?
wayne, from vancouver, was so kind to let me know there would be a festival of activist street bands in cambridge this weekend (i was completely unaware of this, so that was nice!!). it was a several locations, and we went to harvard square this sunday. but as opposed to saturday, it was so grey out, and really chilly.... and... all the pictures i took were bad. not sharp, boring... or whatever. while we listened to real nice music (played by an italian band, all dressed in lots and lots of pink!), and i saw a guy with a huge boot (you know, the ones you wear when it rains) on his head. and lots of other crazy stuff. and i hardly took pictures. i just watched, its all in my head (!!), and the pictures i did take.. buuhhh...
i guess the musicians were quite busy. not a lot of time for eating (although there really was a lot of food around!), as you can see here...

Did the guy with the boot have a longish beard? If so, might be local presidential candidate Vermin Supreme.

It's too bad about the weather CaT. The two years I was there the weather was perfect. The Italian band is the Pink Puffers. The HONK! Fest is timed to coincide with Octoberfest so there is lots of food.

@adam; yes, it was him!

@wayne: yes, you're right, pink puffers. they were really fun to watch. i remember the first year we were in boston i had read about the octoberfest, but when we arrived, there was absolutely nothing to be found. perhaps i had the day wrong, but it was really disappointing... :(

It's amusing that the blog-sphere is global enough that someone from Vancouver is reminding you of events at your end of the country. I love it! . . .Sometimes it's fine to put down the camera and live with your eyes and ears. I find I'm a little fresher when I pick it up again.

Sounds like a lot of fun, but the food yek...to bad so close to an instrument. But great you enjoyed the music instead of making pictures.Sometimes better to do so.
