First sunset

of 2012 we saw on key west, the southernmost point of the usa! quite a drive from miami, but it was worth it... :) ofcourse, in reality it was so much better...
i liked the pelicans, you see 2 above. there are so many exotic birds around here, i like that so much! unfortunately i did not see any flamingos.... :( buuuuh.
now we are both completely exhausted. holidays are quite tiring! ;)
as i missed some posts last year (i did not do 365), i will post some more from the holiday later on. now its time for bed.

You're covering a lot of territory on your vacation. I was in Key West for a couple of days about 1972. It was touristy then and I expect it's more touristy today.

Everyone went down to the water at sunset then too. I was like a religious pilgrimage.

:) thank you!
nee, we hebben t wel gezien, niet naar binnen...
and wayne; yes.. very touristy. and yes, just before sunset the entire pier suddenly was filled with people. but as soon as the sun was gone, everyone ran out again... even though the colors were pretty after that as well. been there, done that... :D but it was very pretty, and we indeed did not want to leave before having seen that, haha... its actually only recently that i realized that here in boston ofcourse we dont see "the sun sinking into the ocean" (a dutch expression), while we do in the netherlands, haha
