Road house

i read on the news that there is quite some snow in the netherlands! no more trains, extreme traffic jams.... while around boston they know very well what to do with snow, but there is not much of it (none here, at the moment). this was 2 weeks ago, when we drove to new hampshire, somewhere along the route, off the highway. here and there a house next to the road, in the middle of nowhere. it looks nice.... and it must be rather quiet. but most times either me or tim says, oooh... would you want to live there? na. not really....

snow is cool, but of course only by two weeks in the year :-))
snow is cool, but frost -20 degrees from a few days and without snow it's not funny :-(
OK! enough complaining ;-)
beautiful winter scene and the perfect light

It looks a bit like the little plastic stations you could buy as a building set for your model electric train in the old days. But it is a beautiful rural scene. Like it very much and thanks for showing.

Looks very symetric, three behind each other. But to live so isolated no, I wouldn't like either. Almere is small enough...

A way from the hustle and bustle... that's what we love about life in the New England country.

yes.... such houses along the road are very common. its always a pleasure to drive around here. but, at least for now, too quiet for me. i wouldnt like to always be dependent on a car to do something (i cant even drive!). i want to be able to do anything without it...

Very pretty! I don't mind snow much. . .as long as it's convenient. Luckily, we don't get much of it here.

And I like being (sort of) in the country. We must drive if we need groceries or services but we have a spectacular place to walk, amazing bird life, space, and clean air. I liked living in the city - the convenience was great - but eventually had enough of all the downsides. But many of the places I want to go on vacation now are - yep - cities.

I like your image very much.
It looks quiet, so I just hope they don`t have too much traffic, just outside their house and garden.
